MedSym, a provider of Electronic Health Records (EHR), announces January sales of flagship Oncology product HemOncPro Suite - Record 2009 continue to surpass Fiscal 2008 levels.
ATLANTA, Georgia — February 1, 2009 (PR.com) — MedSym, Inc., a privately held company and a provider of the next generation of interoperable electronic health records (EHR) for medical oncologists, today announced that January sales of the HemOncPro Suite licenses continue to surpass fiscal 2008 levels as the company's growth in sales occurs across the country.
In January 2009, HemOncPro, the oncology/hematology-specific physician practice management and electronic health record software, has been contracted by practices located in Florida, Texas, Alabama and New Jersey.
Included within the practices that have acquired HemOncPro are four leading oncology practices. Following an exhaustive evaluation, the four practices have acquired the integrated HemOncProPM (practice management) and HemOncProEHR (electronic health record) modules.
"The evaluation objectives of these practice was to indentify the most comprehensive oncology system available," said Keith Whitley, MedSym's Chief Executive Officer. "While a number of vendors offered the front end functionality they were looking for, the HemOncPro Suite paired the functionality with medical oncology specific workflow within a system infrastructure that was better suited to support oncology specific documentation and interoperability requirements."
"Medical oncology is an exciting challenge to us: to support the complexities of its patients' requirements as well as the attention to detail needed to provide the care and comfort that oncology practices are known for were uppermost in our minds as we collaborated with these practices to design their programs," said Sherri Aaron, MedSym's Director of Clinical Implementation. "The result of the work flow analysis with these practices will be an efficient, paperless system that addresses improved patient care resulting in physicians being able to devote more time to patients."
By configuring MedSym's unique integrated practice management and electronic health record software for these practices, a streamlined, reliable system will be more uniform and accurate, resulting in increased efficiency, versatility and better patient care within the these growing medical groups.
