HemOncPro Oncology Management System
MedSym's Oncology Management System, HemOncPro, is a comprehensive oncology system designed to help organizations manage the unique care requirements of oncology patients, who often require extended and frequent treatments at ambulatory facilities, hospitals and clinics.
The HemOncPro is comprised of three fully integrated modules. HemOncProEHR (Electronic Health Record), HemOncProPM (Practice Management), HemOncProLIS (Laboratory Information System). The system is designed to serve a wide range of clinicians and staff members including oncologists, hematologists, practice assistants, practice nurses, treatment room nurses, pharmacists, clinical research nurses, intake coordinators, social workers, billers and administrators. It includes features for scheduling patients, managing treatment plans, staging, documentation, and chemotherapy ordering, as well as a radiation therapy interfaces and extensive integration with external commercial laboratories.
MedSym's oncology solution is designed with a unified Microsoft SQL database architecture that automates the patient care activities unique to each oncology practice environment. The system is easily and quickly customizable to support each individuals workflow; oncologists, physicians, nurses, pharmacists or administrators.

Guarantee:
MedSym guarantees that the HemOncProEHR will meet the certification requirements as outlined by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) for use of approved EHR's. The term of the guarantee is for a period of 4 years. MedSym further guarantees that the HemOncProEHR will be compliant with the federal certification requirements issued by the ONC within the 4 year period from the date of issue of the ONC guidelines for compliance. MedSym will resolve any reported compliance issues within 90 days following written notification. If MedSym fails to resolve compliance issues within 90 days; MedSym will refund the full software license fee, less the value of costs associated with hardware, support, database preparation, data conversion, third-party software, form design or training services performed.
To be eligible for the MedSym guarantee, the practice or physician must be eligible to participate in the federal program and must be using the current version of HemOncPro. The practice or physician must also be in good financial standing with MedSym.
The HITECH Stimulus Guarantee only applies to the Medicare incentive payments.
The MedSym guarantee does not apply to any physician who fails to meet either of the following:
- the standards under applicable privacy and security rules; and
- specific required quality or administrative outcomes with specific performance goals as established by ONC for physician compliance
Both of these are outside of MedSym's control and can only be met by the individual physician. |
