Brian Driskill, MBA

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Driskill is a former AmerOnc, Inc. client who has over 18 years of healthcare operations and management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. He also earned a M.B.A. degree from Troy University, concentrating in healthcare accounting. He spent 10 years as Vice President of Operations with Southeast Cancer Network, Inc. At Southeast Cancer Network, Brian managed the daily operations of 13 cancer treatment centers that provide both medical and radiation oncology services. Brian has extensive experience in revenue cycle management from his years at Southeast Cancer Network, Inc. and Healthsouth Corporation. At Healthsouth, Brian served as Assistant Vice President of Operations in the Business Office Operations of the company. Brian has served as Vice President of the Oncology Providers Network and is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).

 

Preston James

Executive Vice President

Preston has over 20 years of sales, marketing, product management and operations experience for hospital and physician solutions with leading healthcare organizations such as McKesson Information Systems, Cerner and WebMD. Prior to joining MedSym, Preston was Vice President of Sales and Business Development at IntrinsiQ, LLC, developer of clinical software for medical oncology and hematology practices and clinics. Preston was Director of Marketing for Cerner where he was instrumental in the rollout of the HNA Millennium suite of clinical and financial solutions. At WebMD he served as Director of Operations for the physician's solutions product group. He was also a senior sales executive in the Enterprise Systems Group with McKesson and was charged with the enterprise suite of clinical offerings on a national basis. Preston has degrees from Glendale College, Arizona State University and the University of Colorado.

 

David Carmichael

Vice President of Operations

David has been in the healthcare management field for over eleven years. Prior to joining AmerOnc, David was the Director of Implementation for QualityConnectMD® practice management software.  He also served as the Director of Training and Support for the organization. His experience also includes time as an Administrator for a large pulmonary practice, Billing Department Manager for MedPartners, a national practice management group and Accounts Receivable Analyst for the southeast region of a large practice management organization. David received his Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Auburn University and is a guest speaker for the Auburn University Capstone class for students majoring in Health Administration.

 

Dewayne Wilson

Vice President of Sales

DeWayne brings over 14 years of business management experience to MedSym, including the past 12 years spent in the healthcare industry. Prior to embarking on his own consulting venture as a Founding Member of MedSym in January 2000, he was an integral member of PCA Health Plans of Texas, Inc. and later Humana, Inc., playing an important role during their expansion as a prominent health insurer for HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medicaid plans in Texas. His various roles included Director of Provider Contracting and Director of Finance with responsibilities for the review of the company's overall financial position, as well as directing a large staff, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting. Most notably, DeWayne has detailed experience in the development and management of a broad range of contractual agreements and reimbursement methodologies, including fee for service, capitation and other performance-based arrangements. He is recognized as a seasoned professional in the industry, dedicated to serving the needs of his customers while building mutually beneficial relationships.

 

Albert Wood

Director of Sales - Northeast Region

Albert has over 11 years experience within the medical IT field. He worked as a support analyst for Shared Medical Systems/Siemens Medical Systems for over 5 years. More recently he has been responsible for sales and marketing of EMR/EHR and practice management software as well as revenue cycle management and other managed services. Albert has a BA in Business/Organizational Management from Eastern University as well as a technology diploma from the Chubb Institute. His experience includes Cerner, Greenway Medical Technologies and Henry Schein Medical Systems/MicroMD electronic medical records software as well as other health industry software products.
